I have had Scribd for over a year now, and have saved quite a few books to my account (over 100) so here are the 10 books that I saved the earliest. Majority of the books I have saved on Scribd are audiobooks. ‘The little sentence is the first sentence that Scribd shows you for the books.'
Wicked Saints by Emily A. Duncan
‘A girl who can speak to gods must save her people without destroying herself.’
Since I have heard that this book was compared to the grishaverse trilogy, I wanted to wait to read the grishaverse trilogy first. Now since I have read them, I can’t wait to read Wicked Saints. I have heard that this is a dark fantasy and I’m here for it.
The Poppy War by R.K.Kuang
‘A Powerful epic fantasy novel with roots in the 20th-century history of china’
I have this as an audiobook, and until I listened to Assassin’s Apprentice, I honestly didn’t know if I would be able to listen and pay attention to an 18-hour audiobook. Now I know I can I really can’t wait to get to this book.
Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir
‘The Ninth House Trilogy - Gideon the Ninth, Harrow the Ninth, and Alecto the Ninth - is an epic science fantasy that blends necromantic theory and thrilling swordplay.’
All I needed to know to save this and want to read it, is that it has necromancy.
The Devouring Gray by Christine Lynn Herman
‘After the death of her sister, 17-year-old Violet Saunders finds herself dragged to Four Paths, New York’
I was watching a video of Becca and The Books, and she read it and enjoyed it, I found it on Scribd and saved it. This isn’t a high priority, I’ll listen to it when I feel like it.
Descendant of the Crane by Joan He
‘Princess Hesina of Yan has always been eager to shirk the responsibilities of the crown’
A princess wanting to find justice for her father’s murder. Yes, please.
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
‘When Feyre kills a wolf, a beastlike creature arrives to demand retribution for it’
This is one of the books I am most excited to read that is saved on Scribd, but I am waiting to finish the Throne of Glass series before I start ACOTAR. I have a thing about having more than one series on the go, from the same author.
The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi
‘Set in a darkly glamorous world, New York Times best-selling author Roshani Chokshi’s The Gilded Wolves is full of mystery, decadence and dangerous but thrilling adventure.’
What can I say, this is one of the books I have really wanted to read, but I never get around to it.
King of Ashes by Raymond E. Feist
‘The world of garn once boasted five great kingdoms, until the King of Ithrace was defeated.’
Honestly, I forgot this was on my Scribd.
The Beckoning Shadow by Katharyn Blair
‘From debut author Katharyn Blair comes a heart-stopping fantasy novel, perfect for fans of Cassandra Clare.’
The premise sounds so intriguing, but haven’t got around to reading it. I found this book when Becca and The Books read it a few years ago.
Blood Heir by Amelie Zhao
‘YA epic fantasy with a bloody twist’
I have seen a few people that I think my tastes aline with have not liked this book, so I’m a bit not sure when I will get to this book. But it just sounds so good, so I definitely want to try it someday.
I am still excited to read them all, but have you read any of them, and is there any I should try and prioritise?
