Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that caught my eye. It was brought to you by That Artsy Reader Girl. It was previously hosted at The Broke and the Book. This week's theme is ‘Books I Read In One Sitting’
This was a really fun topic this week because if you know me you know I don’t read the same book for long periods of time. So I had to look back through all the books I have recorded on Goodreads to jog my memory on the few books that I read in one sitting. But you will find I can read books in one sitting if I am listening to them on audio. I also have put my own twist on this topic for the last few.
Spoiled Alicia by James Starvoice
This wasn’t hard to read in one sitting, it was a fun read and was short.
Explorers on Witch Mountain by Alex Bell
I was able to get a lot of my journaling done while listening to this book, and I loved the book a lot.
Any book from the Skulduggery Pleasant Series by Derek Landy
When I listen to these books via audio when it’s a reread, it is very easy for me to just keep playing through the whole book.
A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas
This was a small novella, but I was looking forward to all the smut that didn’t come. Because I went into this book thinking it was fairy porn but it wasn’t.
A Tangle of Spells by Michelle Harrison
I was trying to power through some books, for a readathon and this was a great book to do so.
Ok for the rest of the book on the list, I read a small chunk of them one day. Then completed them in one sitting. I read them in one sitting so I am counting it.
Sky In The Deep by Adrienne Young
I read the prologue, left it for like 2 months before I proceeded to devour this book. I remember having to clean my room (it was very messy) but not being able to put it down. So I had to read, then do something with my room, then read because I could not put this book down.
Forest of Souls by Lori M. Lee
I read around 30 pages and just didn’t pick it up for a while, but then I got the audiobook and I was good to go and read the whole thing.
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
Again I put this book down and when I decided to pick it up, I didn’t put it down until I finished the book.
The Binding by Bridget Collins
The first part of this book was very hard for me to get into, but once I did, I read the rest of the book so quickly. Another book I loved.
Delivery to the Lost City by P.G. Bell
I read this over one day, I had an appointment which was the only reason I put it down, but as soon as I was out of it, it was back to listening to the book.
Audiobooks are so so good when you have jobs to do, you can listen while doing them. It’s how I get a lot of my reading done while I am very busy. What are some of your books you managed to read in one sitting?
