I really don’t have certain genres of books I gravitate to in certain seasons, so for my spring TBR I have decided on working on continuing a series that I loved the first book. I put off reading the sequels if I really loved the first book.
Gemina by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman
It’s no secret Illuminae is my favourite book so far this year, maybe ever, but I haven’t read Gemina yet. There are quite a few different reasons I haven’t read it, but the main one is I’m putting it off. I’m scared that it won’t live up to Illuminae.
The Girl the Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young
Sky in the Deep, was one of my favourite books of last year, and I always meant to continue and read The Girl the Sea Gave Back, but I never got around to reading it Young has come out with another series, and I want to finish this series before I move onto the new series.
Blood & Honey by Shelby Mahrin
I loved Serpent & Dove and I don’t want this book to be one, that I off reading as I do a lot with sequels.
A Heart so Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer
The next book in this series is coming out in January, so I would like to read A Heart so Fierce and Broken before then.
King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo
I can’t wait until I see Nikolai’s story after what happened at the end of the Shadow and Bone Trilogy.
Wundersmith by Jessica Townsend
I haven’t had a chance to put this book on a TBR since I read and loved Nevermoor.
The Two Towers by J.R.R Tolkien
I would love to finish the Lord of the Rings trilogy before the end of the year.
Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff
Again I would love to finish up the series and see how it ends.
Castle in the Air by Diana Wynne Jones
I’ve reread Howl’s Moving Castle a few months ago and would love to make sure I continue the series this time.
Would you like to see a post at the end of spring seeing which ones I actually read. That's it for todays post, you you enjoyed reading.
