Blog Newbie Tag

Here is the Blog Newbie Tag, that I'm doing a few months after I have started my blog. Hope you guys learn a thing or two about me, and enjoy.

Why did you start this blog?

I wanted a place to call my own, where I could post bookish things. I love booktube and book blogs and seeing all the content everyone puts out. I decided that a blog would be the best way for me to go forward.

What are the fun and unique things you can bring to book blogging?

Honesty, I’m not sure what I could bring.

What are you most excited for about this new blog?

To have a place where I can express my love for books. Also, have a place where I can post my reviews.

Why do you love reading?

I have a few reasons.

Reading is an escape for me. It’s a place I can go and forget about whatever is happening in the real world even for a little while.

I also have social anxiety, especially when talking to people. I find it very hard to talk to people if we have nothing in common, reading gives me a way of being able to talk to people, and especially about something I love.

What book/series got you into reading?

That’s a hard question. I have been reading since I can remember and I really can’t remember a lot of the books I read when I was young. But I think the series that cemented my love for reading is the Skulduggery Pleasant Series. My mum started reading me this series when I was young and I just fell in love with everything about it. It made me realise that reading was a great way to escape the real world, so I wanted to find other books that could make me feel that way I wanted to also explore different magic systems and find more characters that I love.

What questions would you ask your favourite authors?

That is such a hard question as I have so many, and I imagine if I met any of my favourite authors I would freeze and forget how to speak.

Derek Landy - I honestly would ask him what gave him the inspiration for the Skulduggery Pleasant series.

Whether the series will have a happy ending when it finishes.

Who is his favourite character and why?

If he could change anything about the series what would it be?

Who was his favourite villain to write?

Sarah J. Maas - Is there anything she would change in the Throne of Glass Series.

Leigh Bardugo - How long did it take you to develop the grishaverse?

What challenges do you think starting a blog will be the hardest to overcome?

I’m very unsure of myself, so my biggest problem would be whether the content I put into my blog will be worthwhile for others to read.

When did you start reading?

I don’t remember when I very started reading, around 6 or 7 but I did stop for a few years when I was depressed, and started back up reading last year.

Where do you read?

I read anywhere, but the place I read the most is in my bed or on the couch depending on my mood. I also go out to my horses paddock and sit out there and read when the weather is nice.

What kind of books do you like to read?

I will read almost anything, whether I enjoy the book or not is a different story. I definitely read fantasy the most and do not see that changing any time soon.

There it is, I hope you guys enjoyed and thanks for reading.
