Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that caught my eye. It was brought to you byThat Artsy Reader Girl. It was previously hosted atThe Broke and the Book. This week's theme is books I would like to reread.
Here are the books I desperately wanted to read in 2020 but I just ran out of time.
Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
This was I think definitely the one book I wanted to read in 2020 but I put it off because it scared me. I loved Six of Crows so much and didn’t want Crooked Kingdom to disappoint me. I’m also scared, because of the ending and what everyone says about this book. I did start it in 2020 but didn’t get to finish it.
Scythe by Neal Shusterman
I have heard so many good things about this series so I really wanted to read Scythe and see what the hype was about. But I honestly just didn’t find an opportunity to pick this book up.
A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
I wanted to start this series but early on in the year, I joined the Elderlingalong. Since I am new to high adult epic fantasy I wasn’t able to pick this book up alongside the current book we were reading.
Demon Road by Derek Landy
I love The Skulduggery Pleasant series so much I wanted to read Landy’s other series, but since I hosted the Skulduggery Pleasant readalong I didn’t want to read both series at the same time so this got put off.
The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski
This was the same reason as A Game Of Thrones.
Obsidio by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff
I was hoping to finish The Illuminae Files in 2020. I put off reading Gemina till the end of the year which meant I ran out of time to read the third book.
An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson
I read and loved Sorcery of Thorns early on in the year. I wanted to read Rogerson’s other book and see if I liked it too, but I kept changing my mind on whether to read it as an ebook or buy myself a physical copy.
Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff
I listened to both Nevernight & Godsgrave while physically reading it so I wanted to do the same with Darkdawn but I have to find the time while it is still available to me on Scribd to finally pick it up.
The Mad Ship by Robin Hobb
As I mentioned above I’m participating in the Elderlingalong and this was the book for August and September but since I was physically reading this series it took me a very long time to read Ship of Magic the book before Mad Ship and I wasn’t able to read this. I have a few books I need to read to catch up.
Wundersmith by Jessica Townsend
I really wanted to read Wundersmith as I loved Nevermoor but honestly couldn’t find the time to pick it up.
So these are the 10 books I really wanted to read in 2020 but didn’t get to. What are yours?
